Attention All Dealers:
IMPORTANT GA DOR DRIVES UPDATE
The Georgia Department of Revenue (GA DOR) Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) will be upgrading the Georgia Drives system to incorporate the Licensing Division. TitleTec has been working for several months with the MVD in order to prepare for this change so that this upgrade will have minimal impact on the Georgia dealer community.
In order to accomplish the upgrade, the GA DOR will place the registration and titling system offline for one week in January. There are no changes to TitleTec’s registration and titling system for this upgrade, however, the MVD will be suspending ETR processing during this time and the following processes will be implemented.
January 12, 2021 – The TitleTec registration and titling system will be placed in offline mode. Dealers will only have the ability to issue offline temp tags during this time.
- The system will remain in this status until January 19, 2021.
- The QA centers will remain open and will accept scanning work during this time as well as continue to transmit files to the state.
- Transactions will not be finalized during this time but will be held in your deal status queue so that you can begin processing on January 19th.
January 19, 2021 – all temporary tags will be transmitted to the state so that they can be converted to ETR transactions and finalized.
There are no changes to rules and regulations nor are there any system changes. TitleTec will be holding a series of instructor-led live webinars so that dealers can review dates and ask questions. We will continue to inform the dealer community of any further updates. If you have any immediate questions, please contact your TitleTec account manager or the TitleTec help desk at (855) 336-9023.
TitleTec will be hosting daily question and answer sessions beginning January 6th. Please join us using the registration links below.
