Staying Ahead: How GIADA Keeps Georgia Dealers Ready for What’s Next

Walk into any GIADA continuing education class and you’ll notice something right away — the seats are full. That’s no accident. Georgia’s independent dealers know that the regulatory ground shifts fast, and falling behind isn’t just inconvenient; it can cost them their license.

GIADA has built its CE program around that reality, bringing in sharp, experienced instructors who cover not just what’s required, but what’s coming.

Titles, TOPs, and the Paperwork That Can Make or Break a Deal

For most dealers, titling is where things go sideways. Georgia’s Title and Registration System (TOPs) and Electronic Title Registration (ETR) tools aren’t optional knowledge — they’re daily necessities. GIADA’s courses walk dealers through the specifics: out-of-state titles, lien releases, salvage documentation, and the kinds of small errors that create big delays.

As Georgia continues its shift toward an Electronic Lien and Title (ELT) system, staying current on these processes isn’t just smart — it’s essential to keeping deals moving.

AI in the Showroom: Opportunity and Responsibility

One of the most talked-about segments in the program focuses on artificial intelligence — specifically the free and low-cost tools that dealers can put to work right now. From predicting buyer behavior to personalizing the customer experience, AI is changing how deals get done.

But with that power comes real responsibility. As dealers lean harder on digital tools to collect and store customer data, the FTC Safeguards Rule puts the burden squarely on them to maintain a comprehensive information security program. GIADA’s CE content treats data protection not as a footnote, but as a core business obligation.

Insurance, F&I, and the Legal Fine Print

Garage liability policies, dealer bonds, Finance and Insurance products — this section of the curriculum gets into the details that dealers can’t afford to get wrong. Legal professionals break down where dealers most often stumble: inaccurate advertising, missed disclosure requirements, warranty missteps, and fair lending documentation gaps.

The message is consistent throughout: good records aren’t just good practice, they’re your best defense when a dispute lands on your desk.

Georgia Regulations: The Rules on Your Lot, Right Now

Lot requirements, buyer guides, odometer disclosures, signage laws — the state-level regulatory picture is always moving, and GIADA brings in professionals who’ve lived it firsthand. This portion of the program also covers what tends to trigger regulatory investigations and, just as importantly, how to respond when they happen.

In-Person or Online — The Choice Is Yours

GIADA’s CE program is available both in a classroom setting and through a flexible 10-course online format. The in-person sessions offer something the online version can’t fully replicate — direct access to experts and the chance to connect with fellow dealers facing the same challenges.

Both formats are approved by the Georgia State Board and satisfy the six-hour CE requirement for dealer license renewal.
