GIADA Fighting for Dealers: Needs You to help Defeat HB 1267
GIADA Membership,
Please ask your local Georgia House of Representatives member to vote no on House Bill 1267.
For the last five or six years, in an effort to try and fix the illegal use of temporary tags and dealer tags, there has been a push from some in the State House of Representatives to over regulate, add red tape, penalize, and limit what our independent used car dealers can do.
HB 1267 does this, and it moves used car dealers from being under the used car board for licensing to eventually being under the bureaucracy of the Department of Revenue.
GIADA and its legislative advocacy team has fought against this vehemently, and we continue to educate legislators at the state Capitol about the real challenges independent used car dealers face already. Penalizing innocent dealers for something they or their employees may accidentally do is simply unjust and in bad faith.
We’re advocating for less red tape, rules and regulations.
Please know that GIADA’s leadership, board, and government affairs team has successfully fought for our members’ livelihoods, survival, and prosperity for years – and it is continuing to do so!
