GIADA Leadership: State and National Leaders Align on Strategy and Governance

State executive directors and presidents recently met in Dallas for NIADA’s Leadership meeting to discuss the roles of governance and management. Along with Donnie Bazemore (top left), GIADA President, and Jack Carter (bottom left) Region 2 VP NIADA of Turn & Burn Motors, Mark Warren, GIADA Business Development Manager, we attended on behalf of GIADA. The two-day event focused on training, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas aimed at strengthening the independent automobile industry.

A key theme throughout the meeting was the importance of alignment between state associations and national leadership. During the general session, participants explored the distinct but complementary roles of governance and management, emphasizing how clear responsibilities and shared goals can drive stronger, more effective organizations. NIADA leadership also unveiled its five-year strategic plan, designed to foster collaboration across all levels of the association.

The strong participation and engagement from state leaders reinforced a shared commitment to innovation, advocacy, and education. The meeting provided valuable opportunities to network, exchange solutions, and identify ways state and national associations can work together to better serve independent dealers. GIADA’s participation ensures that the voice of Georgia’s independent dealers remains active in shaping the future of the industry while bringing back insights and strategies that will benefit its members at home.
